Project Athlete

Do the impossible.

You don't have to choose between building your empire and doing something physically extraordinary. Project Athlete turns the physical feat you've been calling "someday" into a real project, and builds the system, preparation, and support required to make you capable of executing it. You choose the impossible. You do the work. We build everything in between.

Project Athlete turns the physical feat you've been calling “someday” into a real project, and builds the system, preparation, and support required to make you capable of executing it.

The impossible has been done before.

The Cedars Treeathlon

An Olympic-distance triathlon.

1.5km swim. 40km bike. 10km run.

While carrying a 50kg cedar tree.

At the beginning, I couldn't swim.

I'd never owned a bike.

And every time I seriously ran, I got injured.

There was no training plan for it.

No blueprint.

And no one to tell me how the fuck to make it happen.

So I had to build one.

The physical preparation. Nutrition. Recovery. Injury management. Equipment. Logistics. Safety. Support. Sponsors. Execution.

Then I did it.

The Cedars Treeathlon became the first impossible Project Athlete was built around.

Everything I had to figure out the hard way became the foundation for a system designed to answer one question:

What would it take to make your impossible a reality?

Your impossible. Managed.

You don't need another trainer handing you workouts.

You need the entire project built around the objective you're trying to accomplish, and around the life you're not willing to abandon to accomplish it.

That's what Project Athlete does.

Project Design

We define the impossible, set the date, determine what it demands, assess where you are today, and build the path between the two.

Training

Your strength, endurance, skill development and physical preparation are built backward from the objective and adapted around your work, travel and life.

Nutrition

A nutrition strategy designed around your body, schedule, training demands and the project itself.

Recovery & Physiotherapy

We identify weak links, manage problems as they appear, and keep you healthy enough to consistently do the work.

Mental Preparation

Because becoming physically capable isn't enough. We prepare you to execute when the project becomes difficult.

Equipment & Logistics

Equipment, travel, routes, support crews, intermediate events, specialists, safety and the details you shouldn't have to spend your attention managing.

Ongoing Adaptation

Work gets insane. You travel. Something hurts. Life happens. The project adapts without disappearing.

We don't remove the difficulty.
We remove the complexity.

You still have to train.

You still have to execute.

You still have to do the thing that scares you.

That's the point.

Our job is to make sure your attention isn't wasted figuring out everything around it.

You choose the impossible. You do the work. We build everything in between.

Frequently asked questions

There isn't a predefined list.

An Ironman. An ultramarathon. A mountain. An expedition. An open-water swim. A fight. A multi-day event. A world record attempt. Or something that doesn't have a name yet.

We start with the objective and work backward from what it requires.

The project changes. The process doesn't.

No.

The relevant question isn't whether you're capable of doing the project today.

It's whether we can systematically build you into the person capable of doing it.

Your starting point, timeline and objective determine what that process looks like.

Because training and preparing for a specific extraordinary objective are not the same thing.

You might already lift, run, cycle or train five times per week while being no closer to the thing you actually want to accomplish.

Project Athlete gives that training an objective and manages everything required around it.

That depends on your starting point and your impossible.

But Project Athlete is specifically designed for people with demanding professional lives.

We don't expect your life to revolve around training.

We build the preparation around the life you're already building.

We adapt.

The expectation isn't that the next six or twelve months of your life will go perfectly.

Your preparation has to survive reality.

Probably.

You could learn programming, periodization, nutrition, recovery, injury management, equipment, logistics and everything else your project requires.

The question is whether that's where your attention is best spent.

You remain responsible for doing the work. We take responsibility for figuring out what that work needs to be and managing everything around it.

That's okay.

You might know that you want to do something extraordinary without knowing exactly what that should be.

Part of the process can be defining a project ambitious enough to genuinely mean something to you.

Good.

The first Project Athlete project involved carrying a 50kg cedar tree through an Olympic-distance triathlon.

Bring us the idea.

We'll figure out what it would take.

You've said “someday”
long enough.

Your life isn't going to become less ambitious. Your responsibilities aren't going to disappear. And there probably isn't a magical six-month window coming where everything else stops demanding your attention.

So don't wait for one.

What's your impossible?

Put it on the calendar.
